Lelah Faye Pitts, daughter of Clarence and Orla Pitts, was born in Sanborn, Iowa on May 24, 1908. She lived her youth and attended school In Sanborn and graduated from the Sanborn High School.

She was united in marriage to Edward Veld of Sanborn, Ia. on February 20, 1959 at Sanborn. Her entire life was lived in Sanborn. She was employed in the office of the O'Brien Cooperative Creamery for 19 years.

She passed away at the Sheldon Nursing Wing on August 21, 1972 at the age of 64 years, two months and 27 days.

She is survived by her husband, Edward, of Sanborn; her mother, Orla Pitts of Sanborn; two sons, Dale 'Dutch' Kruckenberg of Diamond Bar, Calif., and Larry Kruckenberg of San Francisco,Calif.; one daughter, Lynette (Mrs. Don Huisman) of Sheldon; six grandchildren; four brothers: Lloyd of Spooner, Wisc., Lyndon of Illinois, Carol of Jackson, Neb., and Gail of Bellflower, Calif.; two sisters: Blythe (Mrs. Charles Bogart)of Hawkeye and Mrs. Viola Glenn of San Francisco,Cal.

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother. She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Sanborn.
