Mrs. Harry Hebbel passed away very suddenly at her home Tuesday morning about 8:30 o'clock after a short illness.

Lillian Amanda Hebbel. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hennings, was born August 25, 1900, near Hartley, Iowa, and passed away at her home August 4th, 1931, after a short illness. She was 30 years, 11 months and 24 days of age.

She was united in marriage to Harry Hebbel, Dec. 15, 1920, and to this union two sons were born,Donald eight years and Wilbur six years.

To mourn her loss are her husband and two little sons, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Hennings; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Amis and Mrs. Carie Baumgarn; six brothers, Rudloph, Harry, Emil, Ted. Elmer and Benhart; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Hebbel, and her grandmother, Mrs. Lena Schade.

She was baptized and confirmed in the St. John's Lutheran church at Moneta in November, 1916. Mrs. Hebbel was of an affectionate disposition, bright and winning in her ways so that friendship's circle was to her a large one. She was always popular in her family circle and a good wife and mother and in excellent homemaker. She spent all of her life in this vicinity and it may be said of her that "none knew her but to love her."

Funeral services were held this afternoon at one p. m. at the home and at two o'clock at the Methodist church in Hartley with Rev. Geske of Everly officiating.

Investigation Called For

Just as we go to press we learn that due to the fact that the death of Mrs. Hebbel was surrounded by peculiar circumstances the matter is being investigated by the coroner and the stomach has been sent to Iowa City for analysis. A report is expected from the chemist at an early hour but we are not able to hold our issue for it.
