Selma Anna Freda Dahnke was born in Benton county, February 7, 1891 and died Thursday, October 17. Her death was due to pneumonia which followed an attack of Spanish influenza.

Deceased moved with her parents to O'Brien county when she was five years of age. On February 9, 1910 she was married to John Selken.

Funeral services were conducted at her home Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Rev. Siewert officiating. She was laid to rest in Pleasant View cemetery. A large number of friends gathered to pay their respects to the departed, who was esteemed most highly by allwho knew her.

Besides the bereaved husband, a son, Evrett, father and mother and two brothers, Elmer and Irvin, all of O'Brien county, are left to mourn her loss. All that medical skill, willing hands and loving hearts could do was done but in vain.

And, Angels, from the other side
Welcomed our loved one home."
