Ruby June Krebs, the daughter of William and Lorna Mueller Luetkeman
was born June 1, 1923 at Aurelia, Iowa. Her family moved to Sutherland,
Iowa in 1925. She received her early education in that community.
She was baptized at the St. John's United Church of Christ near Peterson,
Iowa. She was confinned at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Hartley.

Ruby was united in marriage to Robert W. Krebs at Hartley on June 8,
1947. They farmed during their married life in the Hartley area. Ruby
moved to Spencer in 1966. While living in Spencer she worked for Delaney's,
the Miller Hamburger Shop, as a nurse aide for Home Health and
most recently Carr's Motel. She was a member of the First Congregational
Church in Spencer. Ruby enjoyed gardening and reading in her
spare time.

She passed away on March 25, 2001 at St. Luke's Regional Medical
Center in Sioux City, Iowa at the age of 77. She was preceded in death by
her parents; one sister, Anita; and one infant brother.

Left to cherish her memory are her three sons: Ronald and his wife,
Candy of Placerville, California, Gary of Citrus Heights, California, and
Robert of Spencer; one sister, Gladys Jipp of Storm Lake, Iowa; other
relatives and friends.

Services in memory of Ruby June Krebs were conducted at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at the First Congregational Church in
Spencer, Iowa. Pastor Thomas Van Tassell officiated. Casket bearers were
Sid Knittel, Sean Knittel, Rollyn Hess, Randy
Jipp, Tom Bosquet and Larry Fuller. Interment was in Pleasant View
Cemetery in Hartley, Iowa. Warner Funeral Home of Spencer was in
charge of the arrangements.
