Ella (Meyn) Peters (1903-1990)

Ella Peters, the daughter of Peter and Anna Katherine Tiedemann
Meyn. Jr., was born November 8. 1903, at Boyden. Iowa. She graduated
from Boyden High School, and attended Mankato Commercial
College at Mankato, Minnesota.

She was united in marriage to Henry Peters on August 21, 1929. at
the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Iowa.

They made their home in Hartley, and Ella helped "Heinie" In his
businesses. They owned and operated a gas station and tank wagon,
andUhen for over 20 years operated the Bowling Alley, retiring in
Ella was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church In Hartley, and
supported the International Lutheran Laymens League for many
years. She belonged to the Kilo Club, and to several bridge clubs. She
always enjoyed bowling, playing cards and fishing.

She passed away at the hospital In Hartley on November 24, 1990.
at the age of 87. Preceding her in death were her parents and her
husband. Heinie, in 1982.

Left to cherish her memory are one brother. William Meyn of
Boyden, several nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Services in memory of Ella Peters were held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
November 27, 1990. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hartley. Rev.
R.P. Albrecht officiated. Casket bearers were Jeff Meyn.
Milo Peters, Glen Peters, John Elgersma,
Al Florke. Kenneth Zinn. Raymond Tapper and Donald
Peters. Committal service was in Pleasant View Cemetery of Hartley.
Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
