Fedder Fedderson [sic], son of Fredrick
and Anna Fedderson, was born
in Denmark on August 18, 1859
At the age of 25 years he came
to America, making his residence
in the state of Michigan.
On November 29, 1887 he was united in
marriage to Anna Kruse, the ceremony
taking place at Gladbrook,
Iowa. Following their marriage
the Feddersons moved to Cherokee
county where they resided on a
farm until March 1, 1908 at which
time they moved to Sutherland.
On November 29, 1937 Mr. and
Mrs. Fedderson were privileged to
commemorate their Golden Wedding
anniversary in the company
of many of their friends.
Mr. Fedderson made many
friends and had been cherished as
a real Christian character. He was
privileged to enjoy a very active
life of many years filled with good
health until on Wednesday Nov.
0, 1940 when he was taken to a
hospital for care. After all had
been done within human power he
was summoned through death on
Saturday morning Nov. 9, 1940 at
the age of 81 years, 2 months and
During his life he was actively
engaged in Christian work through
membership in Zion Evengelical
and Reformed church of Calumet
of which congregation he was a
charter member. He was also a
member of the Zion Brotherhood
as well as the Modern Woodmen,
Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges.
His mother preceded him into
death when he was three years old.
Two brothers and one sister have
also preceded him in death.
Left to mourn his departure are
his wife, one daughter (Catherine)
Mrs Wm. Peters of Sutherland; a
sister Margareta Fedderson in Germany,
four grandchildren, Anna
(Mrs. C F. Bessler of Miami, Fla.)
Arnold, Catherine and Donald Peters
of Sutherland, a number of
other relatives and many friends.
