Alda Casandra Baumeister,
the daughter of George [sic John]
and Amanda Jordan Rohweder, was
born July 15, 1902 in Clay County,
Iowa. She was educated in rural
schools near her childhood home.

She was united in marriage to
Chris Baumeister on February 23,
1931 at Hartley, Iowa and they
made their home on a farm near
Hartley until retirement, when
they moved into town.

She was a member of Trinity United Church
of Christ at Hartley and the Dorcas
Society.

She passed away at the hospital
in Worthington. Minnesota on
November 25, 1985 at the age of
83. Preceding her in death were
her parents, two brothers. Bryon
and Albert, two sisters. Norma and
Vernona. and one son Verlyn Ray in
1948.

Left to cherish her memory are
her husband. Chris, one son and
his wife, Lyle Dean and Daisy of
Spearfish. S.D., two grandchildren,
Ker. Baumeister and Kathy
Jensen, three great grandchildren,
[redacted], one brother John
Rohweder of Sutherland, other
relatives and friends.

Alda Baumeister, 83, of Hartley
died Monday, November 26,
1985, at the hospital in Worthington,
Minnesota. Services were held at 2:00 p.m.
Wednesday, November 27, 1986,
at Trinity United Church of Christ
in Hartley. The Rev. Bernard
Sayler officiated. Burial was
in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley,
Iowa. Baumgarten Funeral
Home was in charge of arrangements.
