Verlin Ray Baumeister, the
younger son of Chris and Alda
Rohweder Baumeister, was born
at his parents' home on July 19,
1935. He attended one of the rural
O'Brien County Schools until this
last year when he attended the
Hartley Public School. Verlin
was greatly interested in music
and looked forward to being a
member of the School Band in
his next School year.

Verlin was a friendly youngster,
always smiling and happy.

Thursday evening, July 1st,
Verlin lost his life in Spirit Lake
while on a fishing trip with his
family. This untimely ending
brought his life to a close at the
age of 12 years, 11 months, and
12 days.

He is survived by his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Chris Baumeister;
his brother, Lyle; two grandparents,
Mrs. Manda Rohweder and
Mr. Charles Baumeister; three
uncles, one aunt, and other relatives
and friends.

Services were held in the Trinity
Evangelical and Reformed
Church on Sunday, July 4th, with
the Rev. B. H. Romanowski officiating.

Music was furnished by Mrs.
Gobel Graves at the piano and a
quartet consisting of Mrs. Everett
Selken, Mrs. Francis Glackin,
W. R. Wagner and Rev. Romanowski.
