Funeral services for Bernard C. Guse were held at Howe Mortuary Chapel at Longmont, Colo. on June 9. Rev. Barry Kimbrough of First United Methodist Church officiated. Organist was Mrs. Margaret Craig and soloist was John Camping. Masonic services was held by St. Vrain Lodge No. 23 AF & AM

Interment was June 22 at Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, Iowa.

Bernard was born at Sanborn, Iowa, on May 27, 1897. He passed away on June 16, 1982 at a hospital in Longmont, Colo.

Mr. Guse grew up in Sanborn. He was a machinist for the Milwaukee Railroad while in Sanborn. He later transferred to Mason City and Beloit, Wisc. After suffering a heart attack he was no longer able tow ork for the railroad and they moved to Longmont, Colorado, where he operated a paint and glass store and later a merchandise store until he was forced to retire because of ill health.

He is survived by his wife, Florence of Longmont, Colo., his daughter, Mrs. Harriet Becker of Denver, Colo., and two sons and two grandsons.
