Frank McKinley Madsen was born Aug. 23, 1895, at Lake Park, Iowa, the son of John Madsen and Bertha Krueger.

On Dec. 20, 1920, he married Anna Amsrud at Spencer, Iowa. They resided in Minneapolis 20 years before coming to Austin and the past eight years they resided at 311 4th Ave NE. He was a carpenter and a member of the VFW.

Mr. Madsen died at 12:15 a.m. Jan 10 at St. Olaf Hospital after being ill six months.

Surviving are his wife, Anna, a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Eunice) Perau, Austin, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ella Moses, Billings, Mont.; three brothers, Lester Madsen, Spencer, Iowa, Jerry Madsen, Sioux Falls, S.D., Earl Madsen, Gray Bull, Wyo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Jan 13 at Worlein Funeral Home. Pasto Schleicher officiating. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Friends from Minneapolis attended the funeral.
