Barbara was born in Monroe, La. on July 27, 1947 to Burie U. Radney Jr and Lois (Tidwell) Radney.
She grew up in Monroe, La, and then her family moved to San Diego, Ca. In San Diego she went to high school. She married and had 3 children.

While in San Diego, she got into modeling. She was proud of her achievement of being voted “Most Watchable” in the “International Society of Girl Watchers”.

She met her present husband, Dorrance Meyer in Liberal, KS. They then moved to Collinsville, OK. where Barbara and Dorrance blended their families with 6 children between them. We always said “Eight is Enough”. She became the homemaker for her family, was a Mother that looked out for and guided her children, taught them to always care for others, set high goals in their lives and taught them how to be good parents.

Barbara never liked it when people would ask whose children were hers or her husbands. Her reply to the question was always, “they are all my children”. That was how much she loved our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara’s favorite movie was “Gone With The Wind” and she loved the phrase, “Frankly my Dear, I don’t give a damn”. She also loved to dance and was one of Elvis’s biggest fans! “TCB”

Barbara was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and went through some very tough times with chemo and radiation treatments. One year later, she was so proud to ring the bell at the Cancer Treatment Center. She had beat it and was cancer free. In the fall of 2015 she was diagnosed with the breast cancer returning, yet this time it had metastasized to her liver. She again went through chemo, then a trial program and then back to chemo. This time it could not be contained.

Barbara is now at peace with our Lord and Savior. She was one tough lady to endure what she went through. During her struggle, she always stayed upbeat with the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
