Anna G. Tow [sic] was born in Norway, September 19th, 1865, and departed this life April 9, 1931, age 65 years, 6 months and 20 days. She was baptized October 16th, 1865, and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran church September 27th, 1897.
She came to the United States and to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 14 years.She was married to Andrew Axdahl at Marion, Iowa, January 8th, 1891, and moved to Paullina, the same year. While living in Paullina all of the eight children were born. Two of the children have passed away. A daughter Sarah Watts died December 28th, 1929 at the age of 38 years and one boy died in infancy. The living children are Grace Cleveland, Melvin, Ia. Oscar Axdahl, Brook Rapids, Minn., Edith Bersheim, Hartley, Clifford Axdahl, Superior, Wis.; Anna Williams, Newell, Ia.; and Emma Frazier, Hartley. She leaves these children, her husband and fourteen grandchildren to mourn her departure.
For, three years she had lived at Lake Benton, Minn., and was on a visit with her daughter Mrs. Williams at Newell,when she suddenly died. Deceased also has three living brothers: Severt Tow, Paullina; Lew Tow of Fairfax, Iowa; and Oslus Tow of Cedar Rapids.
The funeral services were held here Sunday at the Norwegian Lutheran church, and interment was made in the Prairie View cemetery.
