Death came to Mrs. Susan Walgenbach on Wednesday night, July 1st at 11:45 pm at the home of her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Walgenbach with whom she had made her home for the past 17 yrs.

Susan Walgenbach, nee Susan Moes, was born at Techney, Illinois, to Mr. and Mrs. Domonick Moes, and in the year Nov. 9, 1897, she was married in Iowa to Mr. William Walgenbach. Although she has been confined to her home for the past years she was able to be about until two weeks before her death. She was 84 years, 7 months and 21 days old at the time of her death.

Although she made a few trips to California for short visits with her children, she spent the entire past 17 years with her son and wife, who gave her constant and loving care.

Eleven children were born to this union, one son passing away in infancy, Those surviving are five sons, Martin, of Canada, M. Gilbert of Davis, California, Alfred of California, Waldmore of Dedhan and Roland J. of Hospers, also five daughters, Mrs. Wilhelmina Gerst of Vallejo, Calif., Albena, (Mrs. Fred Beldt) of Matlock, Alexia (mrs. Joe Tunnicliff) of Windersley, Canada, Elsie of Vallejo, Californian and Mrs. Edmund Jjacobs of Cherokee; also surviving are 30 grandchildren and one sister, Mr. E. Jennings, of Barronett, Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1921, one son, four sisters, one step-brother and her parents.

She was a member of St. Anthony's church and of the mothers society.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning July 6th at 9 a.m. at St. Anthony's church with the Rev. John Toennissen in charge. Burial took place in St. Anthony's cemetery beside her husband.
