HERMAN KRUSE SERVICES HELD MONDAY

Herman Kruse was born Sept. 27, 1895 to Peter H. and Fredicka Kruse in Peterson Township, and died Friday, May 10 at his home in Royal.

Funeral services were held Monday morning from the Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Royal with Rev. Russell Schilling officiating. Burial was at North Lawn Cemetery in Spencer.

On Nov. 23, 1921 Mr. Kruse was married to Daisy Ellen Kruse at Spencer. She preceded him in death in 1968. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired farmer. He had farmed in Clay County all his life and retired in 1959 to move into Royal.

He is survived by three sons, Ivan of Everly, Ervin of Royal and Everet of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Bonnie) Grodahl of Rembrandt; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are a brother, Elmer Kruse of Sioux Rapids; and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Crowl of Spencer and Mrs. L. R. R. (Clara) Garris of Des Moines.
