Services were held for Velma Hein on Sunday, July 27, 1975, 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity United Church of Christ, Hartley, Iowa. The Reverend Bernard Sayler officiated.
Casket bearers were Lester Woltersdorf, Earl Alberts, Orlin Hein, Lloyd Woltersdorf, Clarence Hein and Virgil Treimer.
Burial was at the Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley, with the Baumgarten Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Velma Wilhemina Hein, nee Woltersdorf, the daughter of Henry and Caroline Siek Woltersdorf, was born on a farm near Hartley, Iowa on September 10, 1901. She was educated in school near her home.
She was united in marriage to Hugo C. Hein on June 12, 1918 at Spencer, Iowa.
She had been a resident of the Hartley area all her life until moving to Arizona in 1972 following the death of her husband.
She passed away July 24, 1975 at St. Lukes Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 73 years, 10 months and fourteen days.
She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ at Hartley, Iowa.
Preceding he in death were her husband in 1970, parents, three brothers, four sisters, and a daughter Leola in 1938.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ray and Gladys H. Storing of Chandler, Arizona, and other relatives and friends.
