Funeral services held for Ida Zinn

Services in memory of Ida Zinn were held Saturday, March 5, 1988 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hartley, Iowa. Rev. John Schauer officiated the 10:30 a.m. service. Casketbearers were Gaylen Tapper, Rick Florke. Robert Buenger, Kevin Zinn, Joel Buenger and Brian Elgersma. Honorary casket attendants were Wade Zinn. Troy Zinn and Kelly Zinn. Committal service was in Pleasant View Cemetery, Hartley.

Ida Friedaricka Zinn, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Ostert Peters, was born December 9, 1895 at Andrew, Iowa. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church and at the age of 2 she moved to Hartley, Iowa with her parents. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Sanborn, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Albert W. Zinn on January 23, 1924 at the home of her parents. They lived most of their lives in the Hartley area, retiring in to Hartley in 1965.

Ida was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She passed away at Hartley, Iowa on March 3, 1988, at the age of 92.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband in 1983, an infant son, Robert, and two brothers, Arthur and Henry.

Left to cherish her memory are her four daughters, Arlene (Mrs. Raymond) Tapper of Akron. Iowa, Elaine (Mrs. Bemhard) Buenger of Cherokee, Iowa, Bernadean (Mrs. Albert) Florke of Spencer, Iowa and Beverly (Mrs. John) Elgersma of Hartley, Iowa: and two sons and their wives. Forrest and Diane Zinn of Arcadia, California and Kenneth and Karen Zinn of Lake Park. Iowa: sixteen grandchil­dren, nineteen great grandchildren: one brother. Edward Peters and one sister, Catherine Peters, both of Hartley: and other relatives and friends.
