Mrs. Emil Hattermann, 80, died Saturday, April 16, after a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. Rev. Charles Kramer, pastor of the church officiated.
Mrs. Hattermann, the former Adella Pauling, was born July 18, 1896 in O'Brien County. She was married January 30, 1916 at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. She and her husband farmed in the Paullina area from 1916 until 1949, at which time they retired and moved to Germantown. In 1972 they moved to the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina. Her husband preceded her in death August 5, 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Fernadel Baade of Lincoln, Neb., and Mrs. Avadel Grauer of Longview, Wash.; a son, E.W. of Paullina; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank Pauling of Paullina and Rev. Clarence Pauling of Cambridge, Minn.
Burial was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery near Germantown.
