DONALD BRENDLE 1917—1986

Donald Keith Brendle was born November 29, 1917 at Sanborn, Iowa, the son of William and Cora Brendle. He attended Sanborn public schools and lived in rural Sanborn until 1956 when he moved to a farm near Rose Creek, Minn., residing there until his death.

His marriage to Sadie Dykstra took place on June 2, 1939 at Sibley, Iowa. Mr. Brendle was engaged in farming and was a member of the Mower County Senior Citizens and Trinity Lutheran Church, Dexter Township, Minn.

He died August 19, 1986 at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, la.

Surviving are his wife, Sadie; daughters and sons-in-law, JoAnn and Don Milbrath, Ripon, Wisc, Kathy and Bob Schroeder, Plankinton, S.D.; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Norma Brendle, Maple Grove, Minn., father-in-law, Jake Dykstra, Rose Creek, and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were held August 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Matthew Majovski officiating. Mrs. Gordon Handeland was organist. Casketbearers were Lester Heller, Bob Mandt, Kenneth Hanson, Dale Anderson, Glen Aanonson, Larry Ehret. Burial was in Roseland Cemetery, Sanborn, Iowa with Worlein Funeral Home in charge.
