Death Summons Julius Plath

Lingering Illnes Culminates in Brief Serious Affliction which Brings Death Sunday

Julius Plath passed from this life Sunday morning at the Hand hospital in Hartley at about eight o'clock. The end came after a serious illness of but a few days, which was the culmination of an ailment that bad bothered him for years, a heart trouble. This condition was aggravated by the development of an abscess on the gall bladder.

His condition became critical the latter part of the week. He was taken to the hospital Saturday afternoi-n and operated on that evening. Ho rallied from the ether effects but the decline started about five a. m. Sunday.

Hugo Frederick Julius Plath was born in Germany on Feb. 2, 1893. He came to this country with his parents in 1903, the family locating near Sutherland. The family home has been in this community since that time. The deceased made his home with his parents until the time of his death at the Hartley hospital Ťon December 5, 1926.

He leaves to mourn bis death his father and mother, three sisters, Mrs. Geo. Elder, and Ella and Amanda Plath of Pauillna, three brothers, Walter of Sioux City, Ernest and Fred of Paulllna.

The funeral was held from the home at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Haferman of Calumet officiating. Interment was at Prairie View Cemetery.
