GEORGE DIMOND

George Wayne Dimond was born March 4, 1850 at Cascade, Iowa. He was the son of M. T. and Lydia Morgan Dimond and was one of a family of five sons and three daughters.

In his boyhood he moved with the family to Jackson county, where he grew to manhood. In the early nineties he went to Nebraska where he worked as a farm laborer for a number of years, going to Fulda in 1913 to be with big sister, Mrs. Phoebe Mackrill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. A. Burson [Eva Mackrill]. Advancing age brought on failing health until Saturday of last week when he was too weak to leave his bed.

He passed away Monday morning, September 23 at one o'clock. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Shlnkle, of Hartley, and several nephews and nieces. Following the services which were held at Fulda, Minn., the members of the family accompanied tbe remains to Hartley where Interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery Tuesday afternoon.
