ARNOLD LOUIS RICHARD ALBRECHT

The first child of Rev. and Mrs. Frank Albrecht, was born in the Lutheran parsonage at White Lake, S. D., on August 18th, 1902. Shortly after his birth his father accepted the call of the Lutheran church at Wittenberg, Mo., and here the deceased spent his early childhood days. In the year '07 he returned with his parents to Iowa, to the town of Sanborn, where he lived for 8 years. Then, in the year 1915, he moved with his parents to Grant Township, near Storm Lake. Here he grew to manhood and lived the greater part of his life. In St. John's Church in Grant township he was confirmed by his sainted father, where he met his life's companion, Miss Catherine Boettcher, to whom he was united in marriage on December 11th, 1929. To this union three children were born: Shirley, Richard and Larry.

In the year 1936 he moved with his family to the town of Hartley, and two years later, to his newly erected home just outside the corporation limits.

On August 1st he was stricken with the virulent infection which resulted in his death. Taken to the local hospital on August 3rd, he departed this life there at the age of 37 years, 11 months, and 23 days.

He leaves to mourn his untimely and tragic death his grief sticken widow and 3 children; his mother, Mrs. Frank Albrecht of Storm Lake, 3 brothers, Rev. Philiph Albrecht of Leola, S.D., candidate of theology, and Raymond Albrecth of Ft. Dodge; 3 sisters, Ruthe Albrecht of Austin, Texas, Irene and Eleanor Albrecht, of Chicago, Ill., and in addition a large host of other relatives and friends.

Arnold Albrecht was an industrious, honest, and successful business man and farmer. He was a useful, upright, and respected citizen of our community, a little more than a year ago he was elected to serve as a member of the local public school board. He was a loyal, consecrated, and active member of our church. During the past three years he served with willingness, devotion, and unusual ability as an elder of St Paul's Lutheran church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's church, Rev A. C Weber, officiating. Members of the church council served as pallbearers. The male quartette of the church sang appropriate songs. Interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery. G. I. Foley had charge of arrangements.
