MINNIE VAN STEENWYK 1892 —1992

Minnie Grebow, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Grebow, was born at Sanborn, Iowa, on February 6, 1892. She lived her youth and received her education in Sanborn.

Minnie was united in marriage to Jack Lacey, who later preceded her in death.

In April, 1973, she was united in marriage to William Arnold Van Steenwyk at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Their married life was spent at Sheldon, Iowa. Arnold died on June 6, 1976.

Minnie entered the Northwest Iowa Health Center at Sheldon on January 2, 1992, and she died there on January 4, 1992 at the age of 99 years, 10 months, 28 days. She is survived by three step-children: William A. Van Steenwyk, Jr. of Bellflower, California, Nelvina C. Veen and Ella Mae Boone, both of Sheldon, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, two brothers: Chris and Fred, and one stepson, Alvin R. Van Steenwyk.

Funeral services were held January 6, 1992 at Sanborn Funeral Home at Sanborn, Iowa on January 6, 1992 with Rev. William Haak officiating. The congregation sang, "How Great Thou Art," and "Amazing Grace." Burial was in Roseland Cemetery with Sanborn Funeral Home in charge.
