Mrs. Zaedow

Mrs. John Zaedow passed away at her home here on Tuesday morning after an illness of about a week with pneumonia. About three weeks ago Mrs. Zaedow was stricken with influenza, but apparently had recovered and was able to be about. It is likely that her system was not yet able to withstand exposure and she was taken ill last week with pneumonia, with fatal results.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at the Evangelical Lutheran church, of which she was a member. Services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. E.G. Juengel, and interment was in Roseland cemetery.

Mrs. Zaedow, widow of John Zaedow, who passed to the "Great Beyond" in 1902, was born in Germany on December 20, 1850, and was sixty-seven years and ten months old at the time of her death.

Decedent was the mother of thirteen children, five of whom had preceded her in death. Four sons and four daughters survive. There are also twenty-six grandchildren.

A large number of friends made during her residence in Sanborn will unite in extending sympathy to the sorrowing children who mourn the loss of their mother.
