MRS. HAROLD KELSCH

Sanborn friends of the Harold Kelsch family were grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. Kelsch on Tuesday last week. They had lived on a farm north of here, moving to Marcus four years ago. The following obituary is from the Marcus newspaper.

Funeral services were held in the First Methodist church in charge of Rev. Joseph Castle Saturday afternoon at two o'clock for Mrs. Harold Kelsch, 39, and infant son, David Harold, who passed away Tuesday, March 4, 1947, in a Sioux City hospital. Following the services the remains of Mrs. Kelsch and son were taken to Sanborn for interment beside their son and brother.

Edith K. Mory was born April 12, 1907 at Boyden, Iowa, the daughter of William and Ann Mory. She passed away on March 4, at the age of 39 years, 10 months and 20 days. Her infant son, David Harold Kelsch, passed away at the same hour, joined with his mother in death as in life.

Edith Mory was united in marriage with Harold Kelsch on January 28, 1932. To this union six children were born: Donna Jean, now aged 13, James, aged 8, Jerry Lee, deceased at the age of 0 months; Judy and Jane, who are five years old; and the infant, David. She was a faithful wife and loving mother, and ministered to the needs of her family continually. Surely, they shall rise up and call her blessed.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Kelsch lived in the Marcus community until 1936, at which time they moved to a farm near Sanborn. After spending about seven years between Sanborn and Sheldon, they returned to the Marcus community in 1943, and moved the following spring to the farm two miles north of town.

As a young girl, she was confirmed in the Lutheran church, and after her marriage she became a member of the Methodist church, and was a faithful member of First Methodist church in Marcus at the time of her death. She lived true to her vows to God and to man.

Besides her husband, Harold Kelsch, and four children, she leaves the following persons to mourn her sudden passing from this life: her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. William Mory, of Sheldon; four brothers: Henry Mory, Stordon, Minn., Herman, of Sheldon, Iowa, William, of Indiana state, and Ernest, of Sheldon. There is one sister, Mrs. Joe Heiliger, of Sheldon. Another sister, Meta, preceded her in death in 1917. There are ten nephews and nieces and a great number of dear friends.
