RAYMOND ANDEREGG

Raymond Charles Anderegg, the son of Herman and Carolyn Schenbeck Anderegg, was born at West Bend, Ia. on September 11, 1905. At age 11 he came with his parents to Worthington, Minn., where he was educated.

On October 5, 1927 he was united in marriage at Hartley, Iowa to Leona Yale Cochran. To this union were born four children. The couple farmed near Moneta, Iowa for thirty four years before moving to a farm near May City, Iowa 13 years ago. Ray farmed until retiring in 1968. Following his retirement, from farming, he was employed at Brown Manufacturing Co. of Hartley, Iowa, until ill health forced his retirement in January. He was a member of the linked Methodist Church at Hartley.

He passed away at the Hartley Hospital on May 15, 1973 after a long illness at the age of 67.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, two stepsons, Donald Cochran of Edina,- Minn, and Dale Cochran of San DSan Diego, Calif.; two sons, Harlan of Austin, Texas and Glen of Brookings, South Dakota; two daughters, Marlys, (Mrs. Dale Boetel) of Nevada and Mary (Mrs. Jim Rons) of Hartley; two sisters, Grace (Mrs. Arthur Sorem) of Jackson, Minn, and Zelma (Mrs. Ray Jensen of Redding, Calif, and one brother, Clifford of California, 29 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and his many friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 18, 1973 at ten-thirty a. m. at the United Methodist Church in Hartley, Iowa with Rev. Keith Scott officiating. Casket bearers were C.W. Kunzman, Forrest Klett, Alvin Berends, Jerry Walrod, Delbert Sittler and Darrell Negus. Honorary caset bearers were Peter Behrens, Wayne Woodall, Clarence Newkirk, Roald Johnson, Louis Jensen, Henry Hemmig, and Everett Maurer. Interment was in Pleasant View Cemetery. Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
