ALBERT W. LINDER

Albert W. Linder was born July 18, 1894, at Hartley, Iowa, and departed from this life, looking up with a smile to see the heavens open and the Lord calling him home. May 4, 1928, at the age of 33 years, 9 months and 16 days, at his home at Milford, Iowa.

In the year 1918 he was called to serve his country and most of his time was spent overseas. After the war he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Chapin of Algona, Ia., on September 3, 1919. This union was blessed with two dear children, a son and a daughter.

Mr. Linder was a kind husband and father, always interested in his home and family. He was converted and became a member of the Evangelical church in Hartley In his youth and had ever since been loyal to his Master. He also was a member of the American Legion post No. 384 at Milford.

He had been sick for more than two years, during which time he had been in government hospitals four different times. He became worse since February 1 and had been bedfast most of the time. He was patient throughout his sickness and always had a smile and a kind word for everyone, especially for his wife, who so kindly cared for him.

He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife, a son, Alvin, 6, and a daughter, Lilah, 4 years of age; his mother, of Hartley, three brothers, Chris of Medalia, Minn.; Fred, of Peterson. Ia., and Martin, still at home, three sisters, Mrs. Charles Meehlhause, of Hartley; Mrs. Jess Lyman, of Melvin, and Mrs. Cecil Reed, of Hartley His father preceded him in death on March 10, 1923. He also leaves a host of relatives and friends

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at Milford by Rev. L. N. Moody, assisted by Rev. Cranier, under the auspices of the American Legion Post No. 308 of Milford. There was a large attendance and after the service the body was taken to Hartley, where after services at the Evangelical church interment was made in Pleasant View cemetery at Hartley. The Hartley American Legion Post No. 388 rendered services at the grave.
