Services Held For Bentley Axdahl

Funeral services for a lifelong area farmer, Bentley O. Axdahl, were held Monday morning, Nov. 10 at the Siloam Lutheran Church. Mr. Axdahl passed away on Friday. Nov. 7 at the age of 59.

Rev. Tim Zingale officiated at the services Honorary pallbearers were Arnie Charlton, Glenn Berntson, Roger Kleihauer, Loren Olson, John Hinz and Oscar Fjeld. Active pallbearers were Darrell Kleihauer, Kenneth Kleihauer, Gerald Leng, Clarence Hibbing, Eldon Miller and Steve Delperdang. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Schuknecht sang "Abide with Me" and "Heaven is My Home" accompanied on the organ by Steve Berntson.

Burial was in the Prairie View cemetery near Paullina with arrangements under the direction of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home of Paullina.

Bentley 0. Axdahl, the son of Bert and Gertie Axdahl, was born Nov. 29, 1920 in Paullina, Ia. He was aptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith at Siloam Lutheran Church in Paullina. Bentley attended Paullina schools and also assisted his father on the family farm near Paullina. Bentley continued to farm in the Paullina area until passing away on Friday, Nov. 7, 1980 reaching the age of 59 years, 11 months and 8 days.

He was a lifelong member of the Siloam Lutheran Church of Paullina.

Bentley is survived by his mother, Mrs. Bert Axdahl of Primghar, one sister, Mrs. Art (Margaret) Kimblad of Paullina; three brothers, Martin and Gilbert, both of Paullina, and Lester of St. Paul, Minn^ also many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.
