Services held for Harry R. Hinz
Funeral services for Harry R. Hinz were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday. August 6, 1990, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown, Iowa, with Rev. Charles Kramer officiating. The pallbearers were Eldon Miller. Dick Halstrom, Delton Silberstein, Art Kimblad, Kenny Traver and Bill Simm. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery, Paullina, IA, under the direction of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.
OBITUARY
Harry Reinhart Hinz, the son of Herman and Margaret Soerensen Hinz, was born May 9, 1912, on a farm near Primghar, Iowa. He received his education in O'Brien County rural schools.
On January 6, 1937, he was united in marriage to Hazel Strampe in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple farmed in the Paullina area before their retirement in 1976 when they moved into Paullina.
Harry passed away on Thursday, August 2, 1990, at his home, reaching the age of 78 years, 2 months and 23 days.
He was baptized and confirmed on March 23,1933, at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina, by Pastor J. Hartmeister and was currently a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown.
Harry is survived by his wife, Hazel of Paullina; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Patricia Hinz of Paullina and Dudley and Nancy Hinz of Granville; two grandchildren. Dean and Dawn Hinz; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one brother, John of Paullina; also nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and three brothers.
