Arnold F. Rabe Killed in Africa
Department Notifies Parents: Death by Electrocution.

Sgt. Frank Rabe, age 24, Friday, Feb. 25th, in Tunisia, Africa, the result of electrocution sustained when a crane __ had attached a hook struck a high tension wire. His death was instantaneous.

A letter received Monday from the War Department, following a telegram last Thursday, following a telegram last Thursday with the detailed news.

Sgt. Rabe was stationed in North Africa more than a year and was based in Africa. He was with an ordinance company at the Air Depot.

Deceased is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rabe, of south of town. He was born August 17th, 1919, in Lechter county, South Dakota, and came to O'Brien County with his parents six years ago, from Mitchell, S.D.

He entered the armed services on ___ 31st, 1942, at Cherokee, Iowa.

Rabe was employed as a truck driver for Harry Lundell before he entered the services. He is well known in this community, and his family and friends were shocked to hear of his sudden death.
