MRS. HERM. HATTERMAN DIED FRIDAY
Well Known Lady Died After Operation In Sioux Gity Hospital

A sad death occurred in the German Lutheran hospital at Sioux City last Friday when Mrs. Herman Hatterman, of this community, passed away following an operation. She had been sick but about ten days and as few knew she had been taken to the hospital the news of her passing came as a decided shock to her friends and acquaintances

Mrs. Hatterman was a native of Germany. Her maiden name was Catherine Stiege. She was born September 5, 1863, being therefore over 51 years of age at her death.

She came to this country as a young woman of about 20 and was married a few years afterward, January 31,1886, to Herman Hatterman. To them were born five children, all now living and grown. Death came on Friday, May 21.

The funeral was held at Germantown on Tuesday, May 25, with Rev. Potratz in charge, and burial was in Germantown cemetery, A brother, Herman Stiege, of Madison, Ill, was in attendance. Mrs. Hatterman was known as a good and friendly Women and mother, whose loss to the home she has left will be keenly felt.
