Funeral services held for Ida Kruse

Funeral services for Ida Kruse were held at 11:00 aon. Wednesday, February 15, 1989, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Germantown, Iowa. Rev. Charles Kramer officiated. The pallbearers were Marlin Gries, Dale Puhrmann, Paul Puhrmann, Brian Kruse, Frederick Kruse and Terry Kruse. The final resting place is St. John's Lutheran Cemetery at Germantown, Iowa, under the direction of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Ida Kruse, the daughter of Edward and Maria Alhusen Pauling, was born March 12, 1894, in O'Brien County, Iowa. She attended O'Brien County rural schools.

On December 10, 1914, she was united in marriage to John Kruse in Lakefield, Minnesota. After their marriage, the couple farmed southwest of Germantown for many years, before their retirement and moving into Germantown in 1963. John preceded her in death on December 5, 1980, in Orange City, Iowa. Ida remained in the family home until moving to the Wide View Rest Home in Paullina.

She passed away on, Sunday, February 12, 1989, at the home reaching the age of 94 years and 11 months.

Ida was baptized on April 8, 1894, and later confirmed on April 21, 1907, and was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown.

Ida leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Lorenz and daughter-in-law, Lucille Kruse of Paullina and Leslie and daughter-in-law, Mary Kruse of Granville; two daughters, Leona and son-in-law, Elmer Herzberg of Marcus and Lavera and son-in-law, Clifford Puhrmann of Cleghorn; also 16 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; two brothers, Emil Pauling of Paullina and Edward Pauling of Paullina; also a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one grandchild and two great grandchildren.
