Mrs. Marie Schueder, 55, Dies at Hospital

Mrs. Marie Schueder, 55, a lifelong resident of O'Brien County, who lived in the Sutherland and Calumet communities, died at the Primghar hospital last Thursday, December 23. She had been recuperating at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Donald Durst at Gaza, from major surgery which she underwent at a Sioux City hospital some weeks ago.

Funeral services were held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Sutherland at two o'clock Sunday afternoon with Pastor Fred. A. Elze in charge, directed by the Baumgarten Funeral Home. Mrs. Donald Ebel sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Asleep in Jesus." Mrs. Loren Drefke was organist.

Serving as pall bearers were Hartwig Jurgensen, James Boring, Rudolph Ewoldt, Albert Burmeister, Kenneth Elsbury and Donald Barry. Mrs. Kenneth Elsbury took care of the flowers. Interment was in Waterman Cemetery.

Mrs. Schueder is survived by two sons, Clifford of Sutherland and Delbert of Cherokee; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Durst of Gaza; her mother, Mrs. Maggie Back, and a sister, Mrs. David Strohbach, both of Sutherland, and 10 grandchildren.
