Services held for Goldys Hulser

Goldys Miyat Hulser, 97, died February 16, 1996 in Brevard, NC Services were held at 10:30 a.m. on February 21 at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, IN. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

Goldys Mary was born November 7, 1898 on a farm east of Sutherland. She and her twin sister, Gladys Maria, were daughters of the late Edward Beaumont and Annie Bryant Triplett.

She was educated in the Sutherland Schools and Mankato Commercial College She taught in the rural schools of O'Brien County and later was employed by the Platte State Bank of Platte, SD.

On March 12, 1922 in a ceremony in the family home, she was united in marriage to the Rev. Alexander L Miyat, a Presbyterian minister. She was active in the life of the churches they served in Minnesota and Indiana. Their retirement home was in Greenwood, IN where she was employed by the John Bailey Insurance firm. Mr Miyat died on December 25, 1958.

On July 9, 1968 Goldys married Otis Wellington Hulser and returned to Sutherland where they made their home. Mr. Hulser died on January 9, 1991 at the age of 94

Goldys was a faithful member of the Sutherland Church of Christ where she was baptized in her youth. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary.
