Obituaries Delbert Herman Wohlert

Delbert Wohlert, 65, Spirit Lake, died at his home on Pioneer Beach, Saturday, February 10, 1996 He had been ill with cancer for a short time. No services were held, but a living memorial will be established.

Delbert Herman Wohlert was born to John and Effie (Otte) Wohlert on December 21, 1930 at Sutherland, Iowa.

On March 7, 1950 he was married to Joanne Shriner at Calumet

In 1967 Delbert and Joanne moved from Sutherland to Spirit Lake. For the past 19 years he traveled as a crane operator in construction. He enjoyed working with the young people in construction In his spare time Delbert liked to fish and hunt
Surviving are his wife, Joanne; children, Larry and Diane Wohlert of Sutherland, Terri Hawk of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Kelly and Cindy Wohlert of O'Neill, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; mother, Effie Wohlert of Calumet; two sisters. Darlene and Jack Muhs of Kansas City, Missouri and Donna and Fred Sauter of Madrid, Iowa; two brothers, Donald and Delores Wohlert of Morton, Illinois and Daniel Wohlert of Sioux City; past daughter-in-law, Sandra Wohlert of Athens, Georgia; nieces and nephews; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, John.
