Services held for Mabel L. Dornbusch

Funeral services for Mabel L. Dornbusch were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 1990, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina, Iowa, with Rev. Stephen Kamprath officiating. The pallbearers were Martin Tjossem, Charles Boyd, Burnell Koehlmoos, Steve Recker, Wayne Wrede and Loren Steffen. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, IA, under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Mabel L. Dornbusch, the daughter of Chris and Caroline Egdorf Wrede. was born June 4, 1903, near Germantown, Iowa. She received her education in O'Brien County rural schools, and later Paullina High School.

On March 9, 1920, she was united in marriage to Martin Dornbusch in Paullina, Iowa. After their marriage, the couple settled in the Paullina area where they engaged in farming and operated a garage in Paullina and sold and serviced Delco light plants. Except for a few years in Texas, their entire married life was in the Paullina area.

Her husband preceded her in death in October of 1977 in Cherokee. Mabel continued to make her home in Paullina until entering the Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar and passing away on Thursday, December 20, 1990, reaching the age of 87 years, 6 months and 16 days.

She was baptized on September 20, 1903, and later confirmed on May 19,1918, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. She was currently a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina and the Dorcas Society of the church.

Mabel leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Arlene Tjossem of Paullina and Beverly Ottum of Eden Prairie, Minn.; two grandchildren, Martin and Linda Tjossem; also a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; six sisters and three brothers.
