Burmakow Child Dies Tuesday

Kelly Burmakow, 2 1/2 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Greg Burmakow, passed away Tuesday morning, Sept. 11 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City. Kelly had not been well since birth. She suffered from mal-absorption of fats in her little body and recently was lacking oxygen in her body. Kelly was born -deaf.

She had been a patient at St. Joseph Hospital for approximately three weeks Memorial services for Kelly will be held on Thursday morning at 10.30 at St. John Lutheran Church at German-town. Pastor Charles Kramer will officiate Kelly is survived by her parents, Greg and Shirley Burmakow A complete obituary will be published next week.

Services Held for Kelly Burmakow

Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 13 for Kelly J. Burmakow, 2 year old daughter of Gregory and Shirley Puhrmann Burmakow of Paullina. Kelly passed away on Tuesday, September 11 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City after being ill since birth.

Rev. Charles Kramer officiated at the 10:30 services at St. John Lutheran Church. Mrs. Charles Brockmann was organist and the congregation sang two hymns.

Kelly was born March 23, 1977, the daughter of Shirley and Gregory Burmakow. The little tyke was sick all her life and had undergone various hospitalizations. She had been a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital over 3 weeks before she passed away.

Survivors include her parents, her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Puhrmann of Cleghorn, paternal grandparents, Mrs. Mary Burmakow of Paullina and Gregor Burmakow of Sheldon, great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Kruse, Mrs. Arthur Puhrmann and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kruse, all of Paullina.

Burial was in St. John Lutheran cemetery with Guadian Eldridge Funeral HOme in charge of arrangements.
