Services to be held for Rosetta H. Brockmann

Rosetta H. Brockmann, of Paullina, died on October 3, 2003, at the Paullina Care Center. She was 95.

Rosetta was born on February 10. 1908, near Larrabee in Cherokee County to John and Emma nee Mehrens Kruse. Rosetta attended two O'Brien County country schools as well as St. John Lutheran School in German-town. She became a member of St John Lutheran Church through Confirmation on March 25, 1923, and was an active lifelong member. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

She married Edgar Brockmann on September 12, 1928. Most of their 49 years together were spent on the family farm north of Germantown. Together they raised five children and were active in church and community activities.
Rosettaaa was preceded in death by her husband Edgar, daughter Roma Lee Fahlenkamp and her siblings. Ella Lange and Truman Kruse.

Survivors include her sons, John Rodney and his wife Virginia of St. Charles, Illinois, and Edgar Paul and his wife Nancy of Oregon City. Oregon; her daughters Carol Jean Tressler and her husband Martin of Loganton, Pennsylvania and Mary Alice Goldgrabe and her husband Arthur of Kennewick, Washington; 19 grandchildren, 26 greatgrandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is planned on Saturday, November 1, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Germantown. Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa 51046 for the handicap access project or the chanty of your choice. The Guadian-Eldridge Funeral Home, Paullina, is in charge of arrangements.
