Services for Irene Beermann

Services for Irene S. Beermann were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 1984, at St. John's Lutheran Church in German town, with the Rev. Charles Kramer officiating. Pallbearers were John Stamer, Wilmont Pauling, Kenneth Pauling, Lynford Pauling, Leonard Pauling and Lorenz Kruse. "The Lord is My Shepard" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung by the congregation with Mrs. Charles Brockmann at the organ The final resting place is St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in German town, Iowa. Arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Irene S. Beermann, the daughter of Wilhelm and Katharina Linneway Pauling, was born December 9, 1898, in O'Brien County, Iowa. She attended rural schools.

On July 17, 1918, she was united in marriage to Edward F. Beermann. To this union, three children were born: Edward, Elnora and Alvin. After their marriage, the couple resided in the Paullina and Germantown area for many years until Edward's passing on November 24, 1975.

Irene continued to make her home in Germantown until entering the hospital and later the care center and passing away on Thursday January 12,1984, reaching the age of 85 years, 1 month and 3 days. Irene was baptized and confirmed into the. Lutheran Faith and was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown.

She is survived by one son, Edward W. Beermann of Paullina, one daughter; Mrs. Elnora Axdahl of Paullina; 8 grandchildren; 14 great, grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Also, a sister, Mrs. Layinia Stamer of Granville; also a host of other relatives and friends.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Alvin, one grandson, Dean, one son-in-law, three brothers and one sister.
