Sam Towe Dies of Heart Attack While On Fishing Trip

Sam Towe, Paullina farmer whose home has been here all of his life, died in his sleep early Sunday morning while on a fishing trip with his sons in the Otter Tail region of Minnesota. He was 71 years of age.

Funeral services were held here Wednesday afternoon at the Gaudian Funeral Home and at the First Presbyterian church. The Rev. Frank L. Davies officiated.

Mr. Towe is survived by four sons, Severn L., Robert and Larry of Paullina and Donald of Marshalltown; two daughters, Mrs. Merle Ihle of Paullina and Mrs. Frank Corpaci of Kirksville, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. George Hodgdon, Paullina and a brother, Spencer of Worthington, Min.
