Services Held Saturday for John Tesch, 78

Funeral services for John K Tesch were held Saturday, April 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown. Mr. Tesch passed away Wednesday, April 23 at Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Rev. Charles Kramer Officiated at the services Saturday morning. Pall bearers were Keith Tesch, Kevin Tesch, Terry Tesch, Robert Tesch, Eldon Krambeck and Lewellyn Byers. The congregation sang thre hymns with Mrs. Charles Brockmann as organist. Burial was in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery at Germantown.

John K. Tesch was born on June 12, 1896 in Chicago. He came to the Germantown area in 1900. He was baptized, confirmed and educated in the Lutheran Faith at St. John's.

In September of 1919 he was united in marriage to Sophia Koehlmoos. To this union, 8 children were born.

John farmed in the Germantown area for many years and retired in 1966. He had been in failing health the past couple of years and passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota at the age of 78 years, 10 months and 11 days.

He leaves to mourn his passing 2 daughters, Margaret, Mrs. Vernon Byers of LaPuente California, Mildred, Mrs. Eldon Krambeck of Galva, Iowa; and 2 sons, Melvin of Granville and Merlon of Hartley. He is also surived by 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Dora, Mrs. Albert Gaudian; Olga, Mrs Carl Gaudian; Hulda, Mrs. Emil Pauling; Selma, Mrs. Ray Fiddelke, and Herbert Tesch, all of Paullina.

His parents and one sister, Ella, preceded him in death.
