Services Held for Ida Koehlmoos

Services for Ida Koehlmoos were
held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday,
September 22, 1984, at St. John's
Lutheran Church, Germantown,
Iowa, with the Reverend Charles
Kramer officiating.
Pallbearers were Curtis Koehlmoos,
Ron Jalas, David Koehlmoos,
Larry Daum, Dale Voss and
Doug Koehlmoos.
"What a Friend We Have in
Jesus", " I Know My Redeemer
Lives', and "Abide with Me"
were sung by the congregation
with Mrs. Bev Radke at the organ.
The final resting place is at St.
John's Lutheran Church Cemetery,
Germantown, Iowa.
The arrangements were under
the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge
Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Ida Koehlmoos, the daughter of
Philip and Helena Labott Richter,
was born August 27, 1897, in
Caledonia Township, O'Brien
County, Iowa. She received her
education at St. John's Lutheran
School in Germantown.

On December 20,1916,
she was united in marriage
to Henry Koehlmoos at
her parents farm in O'Brien County,
Iowa. After their marriage, the
couple farmed west of Germantown
for many years. Henry preceded
her in death on November 15,
1944. Ida continued to make her
home on the farm until moving into
Paullina in 1958. She continued to
make her home in Paullina until
entering the Wide View Nursing
Home in Paullina in 1983. She
passed away at the home on
Wednesday, September 19, 1984,
reaching the age of 87 years arid 22
days.

Ida was baptized on September
5, 1897, and confirmed on April 9,
1911, and was a life long member
of St. John's Lutheran Church in
Germantown.

She is survived by her children,
two daughters, Mrs Luella Daum,
and Mrs. Henry (Eleonora) Jalas,
both of Sutherland; three sons,
Burnell of Paullina, and Elwood
and Lyle, both of Granville; 26
grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren;
also four sisters, Mrs. Emilie
Mueller, Mrs. Metha Koehlmoos,
Mrs. Ella Pauling and Mrs. Berdina
Heithus, all of Paullina; and
one brother, Harold Richter of
Paullina; also a host of relatives
and friends.

Ida was preceded in death by her
parents, husband, Henry; one
son-in-law,, Otto Daum; two brothers,
Paul and Edwin; and one
sister, Mathilda Meyer.
