J. S. Woolston Passes Away; Was Lifelong Community Resident

John (Jack) S. Woolston Jr.,
80, a lifelong resident of the
Sutherland community, passed
away at the Hartley hospital
April 28, following a long illness.

Funeral services were held
from the Maple Grove Church of
God at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon,
with the Rev. C. E. Hilliard in charge,
directed by the Baumgarten Funeral
Home. Mrs. Silas Steele and Mrs. Douglas
Weaver sang "I'll Be Somewhere
Listening" and "All The Way
My Saviour Leads Me." Mrs.
Dick Burgeson was organist.
Serving as pallbearers were
Horace, Gerald and Weldon Martin,
Clifford Burgeson, Basil
Deegan a n d Ted Kosta. Mrs. Arthur
Shouse and Mrs. C. E. Hilliard
took care of the flowers. Burial
was in Waterman cemetery.

Mr. Woolston was born in Waterman
township, O'Brien County.
He attended school near his
home and then engaged in farming
until 1937 when he and Mrs.
Woolston retired and moved into
their present home in Sutherland.

Survivors are his wife, Effie,
three sons, Harold of San Antonio,
Texas, Francis and Clair of
Sutherland, and a daughter, Mrs.
Ervin Lorch of Harris; a brother,
Ralph of Sutherland, 13
grandchildren, and 11 greatgrandchildren.
