Cpl. Vincent K. Moll Died In Luxembourg
Earlier Report of Death Confirmed By War Department This Week

In a letter from the War Department this week, the death of Cpl. Vincent K. Moll was confirmed. He died from wounds December 28, in Luxembourg.

Cpl. Moll was born in Paullina April 5, 1923, and had reached the age of 21 years, 8 months and 23 duys. "Duke" as he was commonly known here, was graduated from the Paullina high school with the class of 1942.

For a brief lime he attended the State University at Iowa City and in March, 1943, entered the armed services of his country. He received his basic training at Camp Roberts, Calif., after which he spent eight months on the Aleutians, returning in February. After further training he was sent overseas in August, 1944, arriving in France in September. He was wounded on Christmas Day in Luxembourg.

Cpl. Moll was one of Paullina's fine young men. He was popular through his high school years and was an outstanding athlete. He had many friends here and was a young man of sterling character. He was a member of the local Methodist church.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Moll, and two brothers, Loren and Kenneth. Also his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Moll, and C E. Kenyon of Archer. Other relatives are A. L. Kenyon of Archer; Mr and Mrs. Ed Swanson and Joyce and Gary of Hartley, Mr and Mrs. Roy Kimmol and Glenda Rae of Matlock; Mr. and Mrs. Austin Sinyard and Lloyd of Santa Cruz, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Orin Kenyon, Roland, Doris and Betty of Moneta; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moll and Dureen of Chicago.
