Louise Friederichs was burn in Lobe, Hanover, Germany, on December 28, 1841, and came to America in 1854 with her parents They settled in Cook county, Ill.

On May 5. 1860 she was married to Fred Kluender. who still survives. In 1882 they came to O'Brien county and settled in Caledonia township The home has been here ever since, the past two years in Paullina. Mrs. Kluender was 74 years, four mouths and eight days of age at the time of her death.

Mrs. Kluender has a rather remarkable list of descendents. So far as we are able to discover they are more numerous than those of any other woman in the community. She was the mother of thirteen children, and all of them are living, all but a few being at the funeral. These children are the parents of 71. which is a large number of grandchildren. In addition there are also 45 great-grandchildren, making a total of 129 descendents.
