Delilah D. Rabe, 88, of Paullina passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in Paullina.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Oakdale Evangelical Free Church in Paullina. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City.

Delilah D. Rabe, the daughter of Robert August Richard Fischer and Anna Margaret (Strasheim) Fischer, was born on Oct. 10, 1923, in Pierce, Neb. She moved to Iowa in 1941 and, prior to World War II, moved to Milwaukee, Wis., to work in various war factories. After World War II, she moved back to Iowa.

She married Lloyd Lund. He died in 1949. On Oct. 10, 1953, she married Clarence Rabe. They made their home on a farm near Paullina. They moved into Paullina in 2004.

Survivors include three sons, Lyle (Ruth) and Mike (Fritz), all of Paullina, and Alan (Bernie) of San Diego, Calif.; two grandchildren, Jared (Rachel) Rabe of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Koren (Jeff) Wobbrok of Fort Worth, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Olivia, Jason, Jared and Evan Rabe of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Marvene Fischer of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and a brother, Paul (Ann) Fischer of Cherokee, Iowa.
