Mrs. Alluma Plopper
Buried Here Monday

Funeral services were held
Monday afternoon, at 2 o'clock at
the Baumgarten Funeral Home
for Mrs. Alluma Plopper, 77, who
passed away at Cherokee December
30. The Rev. Warren A. Bintz,
pastor of the Methodist church,
officiated. Pallbearers were William
Muckler, U. C. McCormack,
Math Noethe and C. C. Lohberger.
Interment was in Waterman
cemetery.

Mrs. Plopper was born near
Linn Grove and spent much of
her life in that community.
She is survived by three
daughters, Mrs. Merlie Cerue of
Davenport, Mrs. Henry Scheerhorn
of Pipestone, Minn., and
Mrs. Alvin Muilenberg, Hartley;
two sons, Arthur of Sutherland,
and Raymond of Davenport; four
sisters, two brothers, 18 grand,
children and five great grand
children.

1878-ALLUMA PLOPPER-1955

Alluma Diana Dake Plopper, a
daughter of Wallace William
Dake, and his wife Ellen, was
born July 7, 187S, at Linn Grove,
Iowa, and passed away December
30, 1955, while a patient in
the Cherokee, Iowa, hospital. As
a child she attended the Pleasant
Hill school.

On March 7,1899,
she was united in marriage to
Raymond Plopper, the wedding
taking place in the Linn Grove
community. To them were born
five sons, Arthur, Ray, Lester,
and Jesse, and three daughters,
Merlie, Charlotte and Gertrude.

Preceding her in death were
her parents, three brothers, three
sons, and her husband, Raymond
Plopper, on December 29, 1948.

Those who survive are four
sisters: Mrs. Chester (Sabra)
Welsh, of Glendale, Calif.; Mrs.
Nora Law, of Spencer, Iowa; Mrs.
J. A. (Sylvia) Morrow, of Peterson,
Iowa; and Mrs. Josephine
Glarum, of Alliance, Nebr.; two
brothers, Walter Dake, of Gilmore
City, Iowa; and Lawrence I
Dake of Spencer, Iowa; three
daughters, Mrs. Merlie Cereue,
Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. Henry
(Charlotte) Scheerhorn, Pipestone,
Minn.; and Mrs. Alvin
(Gertrude) Muilenburg, Hartley,
Iowa; two sons, Arthur Plopper,
Sutherland, Iowa; and Ray Plopper,
Davenport; eighteen grandchildren
and five great grandchildren.
