Services Held for Tim Goodwin

Services for Tim Goodwin were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 1985, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Paullina, Iowa, with the Rev., Donald Johnson officiating. Further memorial services were held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 1985, at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, Iowa, with Dr. Robert Peters officiating. The honorary pallbearers were Rod Rentel, Bob Gray, and Bob Hays. The pallbearers were Brad Hays, Rick McNaughton, Jeff Nitzschke, Bob Bergendahl, Brian McNaughton, Kevin Sargent, Stuart Nitzschke, and Gregg Mathistad.

Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art" were sung by Dawn Brink with Mrs. Verla Hibbing at the organ. The final resting place is Prairie View Cemetery in Paullina, Iowa. The arrangements were under the care of the Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home.

OBITUARY

Tim Goodwin, the son of John and Barbara Goodwin, was born December 20, 1956, in Spencer, Iowa. He moved with his family as a youth to the Lawton area. He attended Lawton-Bronson schools and graduated in 1975. He then went on to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota, for one year.

On July 7, 1979, he was united in marriage to Deanne Schnoes in Paullina. After their marriage, the couple settled in Lawton. He was then employed with the Bear River Steel Company as an iron worker and the couple moved to South Dakota, Colorado, Utah, before settling in Phoenix, Arizona, in April of 1985.

Tim passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 2,1985, in Phoenix, reaching the age of 28 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Tim leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Deanne; his children, one daughter, and one son; his parents, John and Barbara Goodwin of Lawton; one brother, Tom Goodwin of Duluth, Minn.; and one sister, Mrs. Tom (Angela) Myers of Spencer; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nina Genson of Spencer; her paternal step grandmother, Mrs. Viola Goodwin of Spencer; two nephews; many aunts, and uncles; also a host of other relatives and friends.
