Funeral Services for Elmer Haht Held Saturday Afternoon

Elmer Walter Haht, 35, died at his home near Paullina Wednesday afternoon, Nov 26, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 29, at the home at 1:30 p.m. and at St. John Lutheran church, Germantown at 2 p.m. Rev. G. Eschenbacher had charge of the service.

Elmer Haht was born Nov. 20, 1911 near Paullina to Henry and Anna [Warnke] Haht. Most of his life has been spent in this vicinity.

He was married to Dorothy Dobbertin Nov 25, 1934 at St. John Lutheran church in Germantown. The first eight years of their married life was spent near Sanborn where he farmed. Since then they have lived on a farm west of Paullina.

Besides his widow, he is survived by three children, Charlene, Donald and Glenda, his mother, Mrs. Henry Haht, six brothers and three sisters.
