Funeral services held for Lorraine Runge

Funeral services for Lorraine Runge were held on Saturday, May 2 at the Zion United Church of Christ in Calumet. Reverend John Hen-drickson officiated. Organist was Florence Rehder. Humns included "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace." Casket bearers were Lloyd Rehder, Arlo Mugge, Dalton Rehder, Bob Fiddelke, Darrell Rehder, and Eugene Schuknecht.

Committal was in Liberty Township Cemetery, Calumet. Baumgarten Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

OBITUARY

Lorraine Emma Runge, the daughter of John and Ida Dobberton Lange, was born March 25, 1916, at Germantown, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Germantown and attended the school there.

She was united in marriage to John Runge on March 31, 1936 at Remsen, Iowa. They farmed at Calumet, Iowa and after John's death in 1967, Lorraine moved into town in 1970.

She had most recently been a resident at Millie's Rest Home in Sutherland. She was an active member of Zion United Church of Christ in Calumet and the Women's Fellowship. She was active in Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing cards.

She passed away at Primghar on April 29, 1992 at the age of 76.

Preceding her in death were her husband; her father, one brother, Leonard Lange; and one grandson, William John Rehder.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ida Beerman of Paullina; one son and his wife, Dennis and Joan Runge of Waukon; one daughter and her husband, Julie and Bob Rehder of Newell, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jody Runge, Brian Runge, Deann Hagensick, Lisa Christiansen, Kristen Rehder and Ryan Rehder; one great-granddaughter, Kelsie Ann Hagensick; other relatives and friends.
