Life's Battle Over

Grandpa Kerekel [sic] died at his home
north-east of Gaza Thursday morning,
Feb. 4th.

Though he had been poorly for a
number of years his death came as a
shock for he had been up and about in
usual health the day before. When
his wife had prepared breakfast she
went to his room and found he had
passed away only a few minutes before.
His death was due mainly to
old age, he being nearly 85 years o
age.

Mr. and Mrs. Kerekel were early
settlers here, having come to O'Brien
Co. in the 70's. He leaves a wife and
two childern, Mrs. Wm. Lang [sic] of
Sutherland and George Kerekel [sic] of
Gaza, also nine grand children to
mourn his departure besides many
friends who extend sympathy to the
family in the loss of the husband and
father.

The funeral was held at the home
Saturday afternoon. Rev. Baldwin
preached the funeral sermon and interment
made in the Doyle cemetery.
